Yana: How did you and Jesse meet?
Tricia: WE met at Starbucks. We always argue, cause he says I went after him, but he went after me. Then he had to show me his truck and then we just started seeing each other everyday from then.
Yana: How long did you date before getting engaged?
Tricia: About 10 months.
Yana: Great I love it when you know what you want and go after it.
Tricia: Yep
Yana: How did you get engaged?
Tricia: He was acting weird. We went to the beach to go eat dinner, and hang out and walk. I could tell he was like fidgety or something, and then we went back to his truck to get jackets, cause it was cold, and he was taking a while, and I was like awww I know he's up to something, so we kept walking on the beach and then while we we were walking he turned and I could see the ring in his pocket, so I actually knew he was going to propose before he did it.
Yana: AAHH No
Tricia: Yeah. And then we kept walking, he wanted to propose on the pier, but I wanted to walk in the beach, so he like acted like he dropped coins on the sand, and then I was like forget it babe, lets just look at the ocean and I turned around and he was on one knee.
Yana: How sweet. It's a very cute story. Very romantic. What process did you go through to be on the show?
Tricia: I signed up online, and then somebody called me, and I talked to her for a little bit, and she was like oh you sound cute, and she sent me this like 5 page interview to fill out. So I filled it out and sent it back in and she was like OK this looks great. Then we had to tape ourselves being interviewed and send that in, and then they showed it to the producers, and then the network, and then they picked us.
Yana: Were you surprised when you got the call that you had been selected?
Tricia: Yeah I was pretty surprised. We were just acting like ourselves, and Jesse was drunk before the interview, because he was nervous and I was like oh God I hope they like us, and they said that they did, so I thought that was great.
Yana: How long was your planning process?
Tricia: I would say once the New Year hit I realized I'd better start planning, cause I had from New Years to March 12 to start planning.
Yana: Did you have a planner, or did you do it all yourself with friends and family?
Tricia: I did it all myself with my friends.
Yana: Were you truly a Bridezilla or were you just yourself?
Tricia: I was a little of both, cause I am really demanding when it comes to people, but just trying to get all those details together on one day and we had so many people staying at our house and my parents didn't wanna be on camera. It was a complete mess. You get to your breaking point and plus dealing with a camera crew and having to go by their schedule, not just yours, that was a pain too.
Yana: I can see how that would be.
Tricia: I was like 3 hours late everywhere I went. I was pissing off all my vendors, because I was so late I didn't even do half the appointments that I needed to that week.
Yana: Thankfully it all worked out. What did Jesse say when he learned you were going to be on the show?
Tricia: He just kept saying oh my God, he couldn't believe I got on the show, but he knew me from the get go, and he knew I did everything big and better so me doing the show was no surprise. I like to have a lot of hype.
Yana: How did both families respond to being on the show? I know you said your parents didn't want to be filmed.
Tricia: My parents still don't like it, my Mom was worried about what her co-workers would say, and I told her she did even have to tell them. They were worried about how I would be portrayed. My parents didn't like it at all.It took me up until the time we were filming just to get them to sign releases to be on camera. His parents were pretty supportive. They paid for most of the wedding and they went along with it.
Yana: Were Jesse's toenails really so bad?
Tricia: Well, their clean, he just grows them out too long. I don't understand how he doesn't cut open his socks with his toenails.
Yana: Jesse's ring, I didn't think it was so bad. Why did you hate it so much?
Tricia: Well, cause we got a cheapo ring for him to wear before the wedding, and I liked got used to it. It was carbon fiber, It was nice. We found the look at Pimbridge and it would've been the same thing, and matched. But he found this other one with the little divots and cuts in it, and I was like, that doesn't work, and he didn't get it sized, so it's still too big on him. I just didn't like it. Maybe it's the control thing, I don't know.
Yana: So you really would've taken his ring, just so he would have to buy a new one then?
Tricia: Yeah, well we tried. I wonder if later on in the show they are going to show the wedding... I tried at the wedding.
Yana: Maybe they will. Is Taco Treat really worth a 30 mile drive?
Tricia: Yes that food is amazing. That's so funny. I was stress and that's like comfort food for me, and the burrito's are just amazing, and you can only pay with cash. So yeah it's worth the 30 mile drive. I'd drive an hour to eat there.
Yana: Wow that is good food. Were you really angry that Jesse took the card, or were you just upset, because like you said you were stressed?
Tricia: Yeah I was surprised that I even cried. It's just with all the stress with the wedding, and the camera's and everything else, for whatever reason, him doing that snapped me. I was really surprised I cried over an ATM card, but I was like I couldn't take it. I was like I need the money. I need it now blah, blah, blah, blah you know, and for him to be like you don't need it, it just put me off the wall.
Yana: I hope this next question doesn't make you angry, but does crying usually get you want you want with Jesse?
Tricia: I would say it does usually, I mean I obviously I got the card back .
Yana: That was a couple of questions down, so that's great. He gave you the card back! What all were you buying that $ 100.00 wasn't enough? Was it stuff for the wedding?
Tricia: Oh, I had to pay $ 400.00 to get all the girls nails done, I had to buy a ton of more things, I didn't have shoes yet, I didn't have undergarment for my dress. I was a ton of things left to buy, and for him to put the breaks on, IF he'd done that, the wedding would've fallln apart
Yana: I understand. Men have no clue what it takes to put a wedding together. Knowing now what to expect, would you have done it all then sane, if you had to do it over again
Tricia: No, just because on the wedding day, the stuff I wanted to go through didn't, and like I didn't have time to get pictures done, somethings just ended looking tacky, I couldn't set up my own room, so I had to rely on other people. I could have done it better myself. A lot of things were out of my control, because with the crew around I didn't have time to do other things.
Yana: Well, are you glad you did the show in the end?
Tricia: I'm happy that we did it, it was quite an experience to see behind the scenes. Now we've got something to remember our wedding by I guess. Jesse doesn't like it.
Yana: Yes something that most people don't get the chance to have. And maybe Jesse will be happier about it once the hype dies down a little and he see that you two are among an elite few.
